From Hot Mess To Healthier Than Ever With A Plant-Based Diet
My hands trembled as I poured the fluid into the nebulizer cup. I frantically twisted the top of the cup in place and flipped the switch on the machine while shoving the plastic tube in my mouth as quickly as possible.
Shaking and wheezing, I struggled to take the steam into my lungs with short, shallow breaths. As the medication filled my body and my breathing became less labored, the feeling of panic began to subside. But a thought continued to swirl around in my head: “what if this was it for me? What if this was the way I would have to live for the rest of my life, with chronic lung infections and using a machine to help me breath?”
This was the second lung infection I had within a three-month period of time, and this was my life not so many years ago. I was miserable, sick, and exhausted, and I had no idea what I was going to do or how to change my circumstances and health. I thought I had tried everything – traditional medicine, holistic medicine, nasal rinses, shots, surgeries, supplements, medications, potions – you name it, I tried it.
I had suffered my entire life with horrific allergies, asthma, cystic acne, chronic sinus infections, seasonal depression, and almost debilitating fatigue. On top of all that I was gaining weight despite my best efforts in the gym, eating healthy and lean, and reducing calories. My hormones had a mind of their own, and I could no longer sleep through the night, which only added to my daily exhaustion. Afternoons were the worst. That’s when I really felt it. If I didn’t have to work and take care of my family and house, I could have easily curled up in a ball at three o’clock each day and slept for hours.
Life was passing me by and I had already given up on so many of my dreams due to my health issues. I remember questioning, silently, “is this all that life is about – moving from one day to the next just getting older and sicker and never feeling good enough to really enjoy anything or achieve any of my goals?”
All Of My Health Issued Vanished After Only A Few Months On A Plant-Based Diet
Little did I know, but I had already received the answer to my prayers. I was just too stubborn and set in my ways to realize it.
You see, just a few short months before the first lung infection that knocked me on my ass, a friend (26 years my senior) had shared her experience of becoming vegan and reversing her heart disease and lifelong eczema. She had also shared the fact that her boyfriend had reversed and cured his diabetes in the same way and lost 25 pounds within six months without even trying.
However, it would take about 6 more months of me surfing the internet, uncommitted and not quite sure what I was doing, before I experienced a life reckoning, soul-exposing moment that changed everything.
That catalyst propelled me into a plant-based lifestyle and turned my health and life around in the most unexpected and amazing way.
Literally, within months of cutting out animal protein, every one of my ailments and health issues vanished. I had the energy of a 20-year-old again and my hormone specialist announced that I had “reversed the aging process” and told me to keep doing whatever I was doing. The fog had lifted and I felt like I was thinking clearly for the first time in ages.
Not only that, but I went on to enjoy more than three consecutive years without a single illness of any kind! ME – the woman who couldn’t go more than a few months without a cold or flu and a sinus infection to follow! And this was while everyone in my family (still meat eaters) was coughing up a lung, going through boxes tissue, and missing days at school and work.
I couldn’t believe it! After spending decades miserable and suffering and practically begging doctors to help me, I had cured myself with one simple change to my diet.
Energy, A Pain-Free Life, And Skinny Jeans CAN Be Yours Again
As a result of my life-altering transformation and after nearly two decades working in the real estate industry, we sold our big, beautiful home and downsized so I could switch careers and follow what I believe to be my purpose in life – helping people like you reclaim the energy, vitality, sexiness, and self-confidence that you believed was gone for good.
Believe it or not – IT’S STILL THERE! Like a seed that’s been buried deep in the ground, waiting and hoping for what it needs to thrive and come back to life, YOU CAN become the most vibrant, healthy version of yourself once again.
Because I’ve had the great blessing of experiencing this transformation first-hand, I’m passionate about helping others and sharing what I’ve learned. I’m committed to helping men and women like you, to feel and look your best and extend your life in a sustainable way, so that you can show up- I mean really show up – for all of the things that matter the most to you.
And I believe that one of the greatest gifts we can give to the people we love is the gift of our personal health. It allows us to be there for them for as long as possible – to share in their lives, their achievements, and successes, and to help them in their time of need. It gives us the peace of mind, in knowing that we will never feel like a “burden,” and we’ll never have to put our children or grandchildren in the situation where they have to make the heart-breaking and guilt-ridden decision to place us in the care of a stranger. Or even worse, a decision made bedside at the hospital.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my story. I pray that it provides you with some hope and inspiration to regain your health and the “old you” you thought you lost forever.
Energy, a pain-free life, and skinny jeans CAN BE YOURS AGAIN, and it’s easier than you think!
