There was a time, not long ago, when smoking was considered to be “normal” and even cool. Oh sure, there were all those studies and doctors warning about the dangers of smoking – about how it was related to cancer and heart disease, narrowed your arteries, blah, blah, blah, right? The masses didn’t want to listen, and they had plenty of help in tuning out the, uh, logic. And they had the wealthy tobacco industry right there with them, pumping out propaganda, claiming that their studies (the ones they controlled and paid for) showed the complete opposite, and proved just how safe cigarettes were.
Fast forward some 50 plus years, and we’re standing at a crossroads yet again. This time, the scales are tipped even more in favor of industry, because this product is one that is used by nearly 100 percent of people in industrialized countries, and throughout the day. To make matters worse, like cigarettes, it’s incredibly addictive. However, unlike cigarettes, many of its users are not even aware of how it has permeated their lives. They don’t even realize that it is in nearly every food, pill, potion, and product they use and consume on a daily basis.
The product? Animals, the meat and by-products they’re made into, and dairy products.
So what’s the big deal? I mean, we’re supposed to eat animals… Or are we?
The Growing Body Of Evidence In The Animal Protein-Disease Connection
More and more scientific research is pointing to animal protein consumption as a source of disease. Those rampant diseases that take the lives of millions of people worldwide each and every year.
Take, for example, the World Health Organization, which is considered to be the definitive health and nutrition resource for the world’s population. Their 2015 study concluded that red and processed meats were probably carcinogenic and definitely carcinogenic, respectively. And when they say “red meat,” they’re not simply referring to beef. The term “red meat” refers to pork, veal, lamb, mutton, horse, and goat, as well as the meat from a cow or calf. Of course, when they use the term “processed meat,” they’re referencing all of the foods that children and adults consume in mass quantities each year, sometimes even on top of red meat. Yes, bacon, sausage, pepperoni, lunch meats, and other processed foods are piled high on breakfast plates, burgers, pizzas, and more, causing disease rates to skyrocket over the past few decades.Meat Is The New NicotineClick To Tweet
Beyond that, you have The China Study – the longest and most in-depth nutritional study ever conducted – which came to an even more terrifying conclusion- that all animal protein should be eliminated, to avoid and reverse diseases and disorders. In addition to prolonged, extensive human and animal studies performed across various continents, scientists and physicians charted data, and it became clear that as humans increase their intake of animal protein, their disease rates rise at a similar pace.
In addition, there’s the research I discovered and outlined in my book, What The Fork? The Secret Cause of Disease, which proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the human body evolved over three million years ago, into a being that absolutely cannot process animal protein. In fact, one scientific study I cited showed that the consumption of animal protein is quite literally and slowly killing us because our bodies view the substance as a foreign invader. This causes our system to launch a full blown autoimmune attack. This, in turn, incites widespread internal inflammation – the number one cause and foundation of all disease.
The evidence is constantly mounting, adding to the thousands of existing studies showing a direct causal link between animal protein consumption and not only the three most deadly diseases facing the world today, but even debilitating conditions which destroy people’s lives while leaving them still breathing and suffering – alive, but not living. And these ailments, such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, autoimmune diseases, and others affect more than just the patient. They often have far reaching emotional, physical, and even economic effects on the entire family.
At the same time, many have cured themselves of stage 4 cancers and life-threatening cases of cardiovascular disease and diabetes, by eliminating animal protein from their diet and adhering to a healthy lifestyle(1,2). And still, many consumers and the food industry are fighting to hold onto the antiquated notion that humans need animal protein to survive and that it’s good for us. Or at the very least, safe.
Our Choices Affect Our Child’s Risk Of Disease
Unfortunately, and contrary to social media hype, the consumption of animals has risen over the past few years, particularly in Asian countries whose diets were once largely plant-based (3). This too proves the correlation between animal protein intake and illness, as these cultures – once revered for their low disease rates – are now experiencing a surge in what some physicians and researchers refer to as diseases of “Western” lifestyle – cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes (4,5).
Although this clear and present danger continues to reveal itself in the most obvious ways, people point to industry-funded research as a means to keep the status quo and continue to do what they’ve become accustomed and addicted to. At the same time, industry executives take to the airwaves, while their shills (with phony accounts, disguised as average Joes and Jills) disseminate their propaganda on social media boasting about the “scientific studies” which prove how safe and necessary their product is. Sound familiar?
This refusal to accept responsibility and take action is especially alarming, as most disease rates are rapidly increasing, and cancer is expected to take over as the number one killer in the United States by the year 2030. Unfortunately, this has already happened in Europe; cancer has officially surpassed heart disease as the leading cause of death in 12 European countries(6,7). The most tragic part of all is that some rising forms of cancer, such as breast and colorectal cancer, have been proven to be lifestyle induced up to 95 percent of the time. This means that with a proper diet, stress management, toxin avoidance, and exercise, they can be prevented nearly 100 percent of time(8,9).
Also, there is now substantial and concrete evidence to show that our lifestyle choices not only affect and change our own DNA and disease risk, by way of epigenetics, but those changes and risks are then passed onto our children. This, of course, increases their odds of being born with a disease, or of developing a disease later in life(10-12). The good news is that, also based on our lifestyle choices, we hold the keys to altering our children’s genes in a positive manner and before they are even conceived, and we can teach them how to give their children the same gift.
So, what will it take? Will it take another 50 to 60 years for people to realize that they have been deceived, as it did with big tobacco and cigarette smoking? And how many lives will be lost in the meantime while people continue to hold onto tradition and believe the lies of the corporations who profit from those fabrications?
Sadly, we’ll just have to wait and see… and fight like hell to spread the truth.
